Just to be clear, the Surfbird and Ruddy Turnstones are approx 100 yards beyond the golf course. As one walks towards Eastern Point there are shrubs on both sides of the trail. The shrubs then disappear on the right side and when I left they shorebirds were roosting on a rock along the shoreline. It's my sense that this flock has not been seen at the point so I'd start looking carefully as the shrubs disappear.
Wicked cool bird. Thanks to Chris Lewey and group for the discovery.
Best, Peter
