We saw 55+ Black-bellied Plover on the mud flats on the west side of Flat Bay today. Small numbers of Greater as well as Lesser Yellow-legs could be heard calling as they flew over our house. The great majority of wintering diving ducks are gone from the bay.
At our feeders we still see small numbers of Pine Siskins, Purple Finches and 4 species of sparrows.
