On this afternoon's bird walk, I had a female Canada warbler, which was fun.
Also had a winter wren song wafting out of the woods.
Am still missing redstart even though most of my local warblers have arrived. I saw a pair in Oakland this a.m., so I know they're here, but none has shown up for my patch of woods. I also don't seem to have orioles any more. Last year the oranges went untouched. This year is setting up the same. Not even the catbird wants them--and they used to chow down. Weird.
