[Maine-birds] Clay-colored Sparrow - Brunswick

The Capt. William Fitzgerald Recreation and Conservation Area, Brunswick, is a sand-plain habitat undergoing restoration. It's beginning to resemble a miniature Kennebunk Plains. Today, late morning, a singing Clay-colored Sparrow was seen chasing a Savannah Sparrow off a small tree. Because of the late hour, and stuffy conditions, singing of competitors was somewhat depressed (Prairie Warblers, Field Sparrows, E Towhees). Even so, I had to be pretty close to the bird to hear it. Distant photos.

I guess if you build it, they will come.
