Double-crested Cormorants, many on nests on Thrumcap I.
Common Eider 150+
Black Scoter 42 (two flocks of 10 and 32)
Bald Eagle 1 on nest
Purple Sandpiper 20+ on Egg Rock
Laughing, Herring, Ring-billed, and Great Black-backed gulls. Herring Gulls carrying grass to nest sites on Egg Rock and many on nests at same location.
Black Guillemots, 50+
Razorbill 17 (two right off the Bar Harbor town pier).
A check of the cliffs on Ironbound I. did not find any activity at the site of last years Peregrine nest
.
In town: A Black-throated Blue Warbler made a brief stop at my suet feeder this afternoon.
Non-bird: Many very pregnant Harbor Seals on Egg Rock.
A Black Bear was seen raiding a garbage can on residential Glen Mary St. in Bar Harbor on Saturday.
