Weather:
Today started off with fog and overcast skies. During the afternoon skies cleared a bit, but returned to overcast with a fog bank moving in from the coast. Winds were primarily south and light for most of the count. At times during overcast skies it felt chilly on Bradbury this afternoon!

Raptor Observations:
We recorded 30 migrants from Bradbury today. Several close looks were had today. Young Broad-winged Hawks were migrating past this afternoon providing good looks. A Peregrine Falcon was also pleasing the crowd in the late morning.

Non-raptor Observations:
Many birds near the summit today a total of 37 species. Other migrants included: Blue Jay 16 American Goldfinch 12 Double-crested Cormorant 7 Tree Swallow 7 Eastern Kingbird 5 Yellow-rumped Warbler 5 Passerine sp. 4 Brown-headed Cowbird 2 Great Blue Heron 2 Swallow sp. 2 Red-winged Blackbird 1 Common Loon 1 Warbler sp. 1 Barn Swallow 1

Predictions:
Tomorrow conditions look right for a good flight day. Sure it is late in the season, but that doesn't mean that birds won't be passing by the summit in good numbers, if anything it means we are on the lookout for kites and young raptors! Conditions predicted for tomorrow are SW winds and partly sunny skies; it's the last Sunday of the count so please try to make it up for what should be a great day of hawk watching!
