[Maine-birds] River dovekie

I discovered this dovekie below the Main Street bridge in Warren village at 2:30 pm  today. Two adult eagles had circled low over the river with talons extended, trying to capture the diving alcid. Once the eagles left the scene, the dovekie paddled
sedately down river on the ebbing tide.  In past winters, I've had an inland-venturing Black Guillemot and harbor seals in the same upper stretch of river.
