[Maine-birds] Shorebirds at Cobbossee causeway

Shorebirds at the Cobbosseecontee causeway (southern end of the lake, on Cobbosseecontee Road) this morning:

7 Pectoral Sandpipers
10+ Greater Yellowlegs
1 Lesser Yellowlegs
6 Dunlin (still need to look closer at my faraway photos)

The shorebirds and Ring-billed gulls were spooked a couple of times by a Red-tailed Hawk. Not much for ducks other than Mallards and Hooded Mergansers.

Many of the expected ducks at Sabattus Pond. The pair of Redheads was close (west) of the gravel boat launch on Rte 9 for a nice look, 34 Coots in the bay at Martins Point Park, toward the dam. Lots of Scaups and Ruddy Ducks, some Buffleheads.
