I was able to briefly stop by Thornhurst(ebird) and Springbrook(ebird) farms yesterday and there was a good variety of sizes/shapes/colors of CANG but nothing that stood out save one CANG at Springbrook that hinted at a smaller variety of canada or possible cackler. I have been burned making predictions before so I will leave it to people who have more time and better lighting than I did to make that call. There is also one at Thornhurst that I saw last weekend that has a blotchy white pattern on the front of the neck. Not sure if it is partial leucystic or some sort of hybrid thing. The Thornhurst crowd has broken up a bit and was found yesterday in four or five different areas of the fields. Still fun to check out the grounds around there though, never know what you may find picking through the grasses or hunting whatever is picking through the grasses!
Cheers.

At 10:30 this morning there were unusually large flocks of geese and gulls in many different meadows around Springbrook Farm on Greely Road in Cumberland. I did not have a chance to look them over.--
