Hi all,
Some sightings of note over the past five days for me included:
- 1 BALTIMORE ORIOLE, Sheridan Street, Portland, 11/23 (with Jeannette).
- 1 NASHVILLE WARBLER, Eastern Promenade, Portland, 11/23 (with Jeannette).
- ~30 Snow Buntings and ~20 Horned Larks, Mayall Road, Gray/New Gloucester, 11/24 (with Jeannette).
- 629 Canada Geese, Greater Yarmouth Goose Fields, 11/26 (week's high count).
- 1 Swamp Sparrow, Pond Cove, Cape Elizabeth, 11/27 (with Luke Seitz).
- 1 Hermit Thrush - in addition to the aforementioned apparent MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER, Kettle Cove, Cape Elizabeth, 11/27 (with Luke Seitz. Seen while unsuccessfully trying to relocate aforementioned warbler between 2:50 and 3:30pm (but still windy).
As for the recent brush-hogging and extensive clearing at Capisic Pond Park, here's what I think about it:
