I watched this Egret wade and feast for a good half an hour in a marsh across from an Islesboro beach last week. I posted the photos in an Islesbro photo group and a couple of members noted that they had never seen one there. I checked their range and read that they move around widely this time of year but, in checking some more info, it appears that it may have been a real rarity. I thought I'd check here to see if you guys had any atlas information on the species in that locale.
