[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights and Shorebird High Counts, 7/28-8/3

My observations of note this week, unsurprisingly, were almost entirely of the shorebird kind other than:

- 2 Fish Crows, Pine Point, Scarborough, 8/2 (with Erin Walter).

Therefore, my shorebird high counts this week were as follows:

Black-bellied Plover: 72, Wharton Point, Brunswick, 8/3.

Semipalmated Plover: 105, Pine Point, Scarborough, 7/31 (with Jeannette).

Killdeer: 1, Sanford Lagoons, 8/2 (with Erin Walter).

Spotted Sandpiper: 2, Sanford Lagoons, 8/2 (with Erin Walter).

Solitary Sandpiper:

Greater Yellowlegs: 2, Pine Point, 7/31 (with Jeannette).

"Eastern" Willet: 18, Pine Point, 7/31 (with Jeannette).

Lesser Yellowlegs: 2, multiple locations.

Whimbrel: 7, Pine Point, 8/2 (with Erin Walter).

HUDSONIAN GODWIT (FOY): 1, Pine Point, 8/2 (with Erin Walter).

Ruddy Turnstone: 4, Pine Point, 78/2 (with Erin Walter).

Semipalmated Sandpiper: 500+, Pine Point, 8/2 (with Erin Walter).

Least Sandpiper: 10, Rte 1/9 salt pannes, 7/31 (with Jeannette).

White-rumped Sandpiper: 1, Pine Point, 7/31 (with Jeannette).

Short-billed Dowitcher: 56, Pine Point, 7/31 (with Jeannette).
