[Maine-birds] Eastern Prom Report - Where The Warblers Aren't

Chilly and raw morning on the Promenade. 31 species total. Lot's of summer-plumage LONG-TAILED DUCKS yodeling away close to shore. A BALD EAGLE was seen cruising low over I-295. The invasion of the CATBIRDS continues apace. A CHIPPING SPARROW was heard but not seen. And just under two hours of searching turned up one COMMON YELLOWTHROAT in the warbler department.

Hopefully other birders are feeling the love elsewhere in the state. As for me, I am practicing deepening my appreciation of familiar birds.
