I have just seen (in Liberty) the second Blue Jay that is missing nearly every feather on its head and neck, and my usual flock of 4 or 5 that show up religiously for peanuts have not been around. I searched and found a post from 2012 about Blue Jays and some Blackbirds that occasionally undergo a very severe molt, and that it's not a big deal. But they sure look pathetic! Anyone else seeing this around this year? --
