My husband and I were traveling on route 8 from Smithfield to Norridgewock. We spotted eight sandhill cranes in the fields on the left behind the white farmhouse. Then we drove down the Martin Stream Road and in the large field on the right back near the woods we counted 62 sandhill cranes.
