[Maine-birds] Midcoast Birding

All found in Damariscotta/Newsastle, today by me:
-24 Starlings
-8 Mourning Doves
-20 Chickadees
-8 House Finches ( 5 beautiful males )
-23 Pine Grosbeaks
-2 Cardinals
-10 House Sparrows
-2 Herring Gulls
-25 Ring-billed Gulls
-65 Canada Gooses
-70 Mallards
-16 Crows
-1 Blue Jay
-2 Titmice
-11 Goldfinches
-1 WB Nuthatch
-Downey Woodpecker ( male)
-63 Hooded Mergansers ( 10 male )

Highlight of the day was getting done walking along the area at the Alewives near the church when out of nowhere a flock of at least 23 Grosbeaks appeared. All females except 2 young males. A nice treat within my birding day.
