There was a light-phased Rough-legged Hawk about 7:30 this morning along
Route 8, in Smithfield. It was in farmland about a mile south of
Sandhill Rd., in the general vicinity of where Sandhill Cranes are
sometimes seen. It appears to be an ideal spot for hunting, so
hopefully the bird will stick around for awhile.
