Hello All,
Checked out Sabattus Pond this AM. Estimated 500+ Common Mergansers in 5 rafts. Two at the southern end number about 100 each and three at the north end visible from Center Road each numbering at least 100. Forty five Canada Geese were also at the north end.
A raft of approximately 100 Scaup sp was between Sanborn Road and Riley Road.
The only other waterfowl were three Hooded Mergansers and three Mallards. Surprised at the small number and diversity of non-merganser waterfowl.
There was one Belted Kingfisher at Martin's Point.
