[Maine-birds] Re: Canada Geese - Sandy Point Game Management Area

Hi All,

Sorry for the late post; yesterday afternoon I stopped by the Sandy Point Game Management Area in Stockton Springs and out about as far back as I could see was a small flock of Canada geese. In with them was a white goose. It was of similar size and shape, however it was far enough away that I could not pick out any distinguishing features. They swam out of view toward the back of the reserve rather quickly so that is all I have to go on. I think it was a loose, domesticated goose like was see last year with a flock of geese in Bucksport. But, if anyone has time and want to take a gander they usually hang out there as long as no one pushes them out.

There was also a smattering of ducks; including wood and black ducks.
