I saw the drake King Eider at Blue Hill Falls at 12:30 today. Thanks to Ed for helping me locate it. Purple Sandpipers were there too. One the way home, four Bald Eagles at Union River in Ellsworth. My spouse and I are in Hancock and this morning we recorded 6 Common Golden Eyes (with some mating action), 10 Red-Throated Mergansers, Buffleheads, a Bald Eagle and the usual back yard friends (Chickadees, Nuthatches, Wrens and Titmouses). This was a great start to our winter break. I tank everyone who gave me some great recommendations for building this winter. Now I want to find that Goshawk in Franklin....
