I went through Shore Rd this morning (Feb 4) and this flock was still present, including at least one BOWA. I released a Cedar Waxwing that had finished a rehab stint at the Center for Wildlife. The CEDW immediately went and hung out with its larger cousin, though other Cedar Waxwings were in the area. About 80 robins were present and actively feeding. They all appeared to have the dark head and rich rust color I associate with many robins I see in the winter. Based on Louis' excellent write-up I don't know if this qualifies them as Newfies, but subjectively, they do seem to be darker overall than robins I see in summer.
