[Maine-birds] FOY Rainbow Day at the House

I had every color of the rainbow at the feeders today.

R=Northern Cardinal, House Finches
O=FOY Baltimore Oriole, as well as American Robins
Y=American Goldfinch, Pine Siskin
G=Ruby-Throated Hummingbird (female with a male working VERY hard to get her attention)
B= Blue Jay
I= FOY Indigo Bunting (I went out with my camera to try and catch the oriole when this guy showed up)
V=The only one I had to stretch for was the irridescent head of a grackle that was sort of violet.

This is not to discount any of the other wonderful brown, black, and white birds that make my days worthwhile.... (Barred Owl, Broad Winged Hawk, Chipping and Song Sparrows, BC Chickadees, WB Nuthatches, Downy/Hairy Woodpeckers, etc.

Maine birds are great...

Cheers!
