Weather:
Overall it was a windy day at Bradbury Mountain with partly sunny skies. Winds were northwest and gusting throughout the day. Clouds provided a nice sky for hawk watching and visibility was excellent for most of the day.

Raptor Observations:
Today 16 migrant raptors were tallied at Bradbury. Local Red-tailed Hawks were hunting and finding that the crows near Bradbury can still mob them in windy weather. Three Ospreys pushed through the wind late in the count, and several young Broad-winged Hawks passed by in the mid-afternoon.

Non-raptor Observations:
43 species at the summit today. Migrants included: Canada Goose 12 Tree Swallow 8 American Goldfinch 7 Barn Swallow 6 Chimney Swift 4 Common Loon 3 Ruby-throated Hummingbird 2 Solitary Sandpiper 2 Red-winged Blackbird 1 Brown-headed Cowbird 1 Cliff Swallow 1 Bank Swallow 1

Predictions:
Tomorrow is forecasted to be a sunny and comfortable day with light winds from the west. This forecast looks good for hawk watching. Though it is late in the season, there are plenty of young birds that may pass by Bradbury tomorrow as conditions indicate good weather for flight. Only two days left for the count this year, and both days have potential to have numbers of migrant hawks, and maybe even a kite!
