Visitors:16. Thank you to all the volunteers today, it was great to have so many hawk watchers at the summit!
Weather:A bright and clear day that saw the first clouds arrive only fifteen minutes prior to the end of the count. Northwest winds were light for the entire day. Overall a very comfortable day at the summit.
Raptor Observations:There were 29 migrants counted today. Due to abundant sunshine and light winds, conditions were great for raptors. Many birds were spotted soaring at high altitude even local Turkey Vultures were flying high!!
Non-raptor Observations:37 species at the summit today. Migrants included: Tree Swallow 16 Barn Swallow 10 Chimney Swift 6 Warbling Vireo 1 Cliff Swallow 1 Ruby-throated Hummingbird 1
Predictions:Tomorrow is predicted to be a beautiful day at Bradbury. Light southwest winds will bring birds by the summit. Tomorrow is the last count day for the season, so there is still one last chance to get to the spring hawk watch in 2015. I hope to see you there! And also let's hope we have migrant birds taking advantage of the good conditions tomorrow too!
