Saw a male and a female on two adjoining nesting boxes at Curtis Farm Preserve (Harpswell) this past Sunday. Male seemed pretty attached to the box he was on, going in and out a few times. Female seemed less than interested in his whole deal....
Otherwise--not a whole lot of action in these parts (at least not that I've seen).

Sent from my iPhoneJudging from the # of responses I received regarding the dearth of blue birds it is apparent that the lack is not limited to just my area. I suspect Nancy Houlihan (if you would resend that to all that would be great-I'm not sharp enough to know how ) hit the mark with her note about the 100% mortality rate in Essex Cty.,Mass. and suggesting that the birds that wintered close by really took a hit in during this past winter-those of you with breeding birds have to have a very productive summer!
