[Maine-birds] Identification assistance by ear?

Hi all,

The habitat area is mixed deciduous forest, with the Androscoggin river about a one-half to one mile to our east. We're literally just off route 4 next to the old chickadee restaurant in Turner if that helps identify area at all. I would not classify this as an alarm call with the frequency and regularity I heard the call.

I'll sift through the birds some of you have recommended and get back to you.

Thank you, and keep the posts (personal replies) coming if you think of anything else.
