Re: [Maine-birds] RFI: shorebird viewing in Nova Scotia

I would offer a strong second for Mary's Point. The peak of migration for Semi-palmated Sandpipers at Mary's Point occurs in mid-August. My recollection is that the peak is usually around August 11-13, or at least it was in the 80s and 90s. I have seen as many as 60,000 Semi-palmated Sandpipers during that time period, and back then the flock could be as large as 90,000 back then. The tide brings them right up to you. Spectacular and thrilling.
