[Maine-birds] Frenchman Bay area

Thursday 9/17/2015
Several vees of Double-crested Cormorants were passing south across the mouth of Frenchman Bay today, most of them numbering no more than 20 birds.
Two Great Cormorants have been roosting on the south ledges of Egg Rock for the past two days.
Two winter plumaged Red-throated Loons were off Egg Rock.
A single Bonaparte's Gull was with a feeding group of Ring-billed Gulls off the Bar Harbor breakwater.
Two Peregrine Falcons were on the southern cliffs of Ironbound Island.
Spotted Sandpipers are still being seen on the Porcupine Islands.
Not in the bay but there are 10+ Ruby-throated Hummingbirds still feeding on flowers at Thuya Garden in Northeast Harbor today.
