Several birders saw a YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT yesterday up the road from the Trailing Yew. I also heard a report of a CONNECTICUT WARBLER seen by a reliable birder off one of the inland trails.
DICKCISSEL has been heard regularly for the past several days and occasionally seen, usually in the area of the Meadow and behind the Monhegan House.
This morning, 9.29.15, there was at least one CLAY-COLORED SPARROW in the garden by the church.
1-2 YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS continue to be seen early mornings at the Ice Pond.
