Fyn and I were close observers of an attack on 2 Am Golden Plovers by a juvie Peregrine Falcon this morning. The former refused to budge; If they had taken flight, the peregrine would have had them exactly where he wanted them. Despite the Peregrine's several vertical dive-bombs, they simply hunkered down until he got bored and flew off into the salt marsh. Lots of photo ops.
