[Maine-birds] Belfast Bay census of Saturday, Oct. 31

Gary Gulezian and I had a great morning for birding: nice weather, lots of species with some being noteworthy.  Highlights were an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull and a Lesser Yellowlegs (a bird that appears only sporadically in our area).  Some first-of-the-season species were Red-throated Loon, Long-tailed Duck, Bufflehead, and Common Goldeneye.   Cormorants are still here in good numbers (38), and the number of Herring Gulls is increasing to overwintering numbers (304).  The full report can be found on ebird by clicking the link below:
