Bud Heuer and I crossed paths at Popham Beach in very thick fog, that refused to lift. As the tide ebbed, the lagoon held a juvenile Hudsonian Godwit, as well as 3 Am Golden Plovers (feeding on bloodworms), ca 40 BBPlovers, 9 SemiPlovers; 28 Dunlins,2 WRSandpipers and a getting-late Semi Sand.
Interestingly, there wasn't much fog over at Hermit Island; fog must have been associated with the Kennebec Mouth. There was a solo winter plumage Laughing Gull in the exposed mud of The Branch.
