A bunch of lingering Bonaparte's gulls were feeding off of the Eastport waterfront today and there were three little gulls ( 2 adults, 1 first-winter) accompanying them. This is the first time I've seen little gulls in January around here. I also saw a glaucous gull and several Iceland (Kumlien's) gulls along with the regular cast of large gulls and kittiwakes, which made for eight gull species. Dozens of razorbills and several thick-billed murres were also in the area. Photos from the trip can be seen here:
