[Maine-birds] Rockland and vicinity

The chat remains at the same thicket on Lighthouse/Breakwater road. I watched him for ten minutes this morning. Perhaps the coolest part of my observation was when a vole came out to temporarily forage within 5-6 inches of the warbler. At Rockland's inner harbor, a belted kingfisher on the pilings. Yesterday morning I saw the black-headed gull in Rockland, but not today. The gull may vacillate between Rockland and Owls Head harbors. At Owls Head airport, a perched rough-legged hawk that seems to favor this particular hunting site.
