Subject: [Maine-birds] ovenbird in Sidney
While out on my bike this afternoon I heard my first ovenbird. Yesterday I had yr warblers and great looks at a pine warbler. I hear the pines more than I see them.
The bluebirds who successfully raised two broods last year have been AWOL til today. Now they need to out-compete four pairs of tree swallows vying for four houses. We keep putting up additional boxes and we still have competition. Time for one more...
