Entertainment here in the closing hour of daylight included watching
six male and four female rose breasted grosbeaks play King (or Queen)
of the Birdfeeder. Also competing were a pair of cardinals and
several purple finches. We're not quite sure who won; it was pretty
wild~and colorful! Meanwhile, the hummingbirds vied for a spot on
their feeder next to the window. So much for the work I was trying
to get done at the dining room table, and as we've said before, who
needs TV?!
