[Maine-birds] tree swallows and phoebes

My tree swallows have all fledged--last one left yesterday. One box produced 6 while the other boxes are undetermined. No nest mortality this year that I could detect--and judging from the cloud of swallows above the yard on Thursday. Are others having similar luck with their tree swallows? The bluebird wasted no time hopping in and out of one box, so I cleaned out the boxes. Now we'll see what he does.

We have a phoebe nest on the light in front of our mudroom this year. Busy location, though we do try to avoid that door when possible. The phoebes had 5 eggs and I can count at least four beaks. They're nearly too big for the nest now. Fun to watch.

And OT, we also had a luna moth on our porch yesterday and today. They're as big as birds when they fly.
