Phippsburg, Maine Map 6
Would someone that is not suffering from heat stroke wade in and confirm or dispell my ID? There are two links below, one to my website eBird string. The last clutch (har har) of pics are of a warbler I'm supposing is a Yellow female. One of the shots has a male Yellow in the background. The second link is just to an image versus the whole string of pics. I thank you in advance for your time.
I could not get better pics of let's say, the tail, or the wings, or the toop of the head, all suggested to me that would have been helpful. Next time, I'll ask them to hold still and get out of hte leaves for a second.
What has confused me is this: I was Weeding For Dollars on Small Point yesterday and suddenly, in a tree were tons of warbs, all together in the heat hollering and haggling and screaming. There were males and females of numerous species I could ID quickly (American Redstart, Yellow, Yellow Throat, male). Females had mouths full of insects and males were gleening bugs from teh leaves. It was 88 degrees, but this was the kind of event I'd have expected in the spring in a fall out, not 'high season' in the heat in the middle of the day.
And yes, though I was working, and really dragging in the heat I DID have my camera. And was able to get pics even though they were all cavorting around in the leaves.
