Two CASPIAN TERNS were seen along Ferry Beach in Scarborough on May 29th.
An adult WHITE-FACED IBIS continues to be seen in the Scarborough Marsh, on June 1st it was behind the Pelreco building off Snow Canning Road.
Midcoast
On May 31st, Seawall Beach hosted: two ROSEATE TERNS, one BLACK TERN, and one WHITE-EYED VIREO amongst other expected birds.
Noteworthy birds from Monhegan Island this week included: WHITE-EYED VIREO, ORCHARD ORIOLE, and RED CROSSBILL.
A possible CHUCK-WILL'S-WIDOW was reported from Jefferson on the morning of the 28th. A second report came from Swans Island on the 28th and 29th.
Central Maine
First seen on June 2nd, an apparent adult male SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER has continued along Route 100 at the Burham/Pittsfield town line.
A CLAY-COLORED SPARROW continues to be seen along the Penjajawoc Marsh behind the Home Depot in Bangor.
Downeast
A pelagic trip out of Bar Harbor on the 2nd was highlighted by a LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL, BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE, two SOOTY SHEARWATERS, and at least one LEACH'S STORM-PETREL. A single ROSEATE TERN was observed from the boat at Petit Manan Island.
A first-cycle GLAUCOUS GULL continues to be seen around the Eastport waterfront.
Northern Maine
A RED-NECKED PHALAROPE and COMMON GALLINULE were found on Lake Josephine in Easton on May 31st. A pair of REDHEADS was here on June 1st.
On June 1st, a WILSON'S PHALAROPE was seen spinning in the ponds behind the Washburn treatment lagoons.
