[Maine-birds] White-winged highway crow and red-tagged gulls - Freeport/Yarmouth

Hi All,

I've been meaning to post this for a while, but we've had multiple sightings of an American crow with very white wings this summer along the stretch of I-295 between the two Freeport exits (22 and Desert Rd).  I'm talking magpie amounts of white!  I've just happened to see it flying down the side of the highway each time.  Obviously not a good place to bird on the highway, but I guess we could all admit to some level of innate BWD (Birding While Driving) - may be fun to keep an eye out if you cruise through.

Also, at least three sightings of herring gull(s) with red circular wing-tags near the Hannaford's plaza in Yarmouth.  Optics-less each time, so no read on numbers.

Happy late summer and fall birding!
