Hi all,
After hearing only a few call notes between about noon and 1:15 Jeannette and I split up. Jeannette continued the vigil at the location that Doug, et al, saw it. Unfortunately, we realized Jeannette left her phone in the car when I scored a short, but extremely good look at the KENTUCKY WARBLER at 1:25pm in the chokeberries where Denny Abbott saw the bird.
This fruit-tastic patch is easy to find. Following the trail that parallels the shoreline to the west make the left (just before the trail ends at the gravel beach) back towards the golf course. In a short distance, you'll see a partially-debarked cherry laying across the trail, soon followed by a boulder that the trail passes over. The fruit cluster is above and to the right of the trail at the boulder.
The other spot the bird has been seen is accessed by continuing down the trail until you reach a steep ledge. The swale to your right, I believe, is where the bird has been seen.
Hope that helps,
Derek
