Re: [Maine-birds] Semipalmated Sandpipers, Long-billed Dows, pecs and white-rumps, Scarborough Marsh, 15 Nov 2013

No, I don't think it makes any difference at present.  Birds were feeding very actively in the pans.

David Ladd and I birded the pans along Eastern Road/Trail and saw and photographed 1 (of 2) Semipalmated Sandpipers, the latest I've seen in ME.  The photographed juvenile was clearly a different individual than the one I photographed last Thursday, 7 Nov.

Also 7, possibly 8, Long-billed Dowitchers, 15 White-rumps, 6+ Pecs, 200+ Dunlin.

The late season shorebird continues!  Billy there's a chance for the dows.

Also, 16 close by Harlequins at Dyer Point.
