[Maine-birds] Webber Pond, Bremen

On Friday there were eight hooded mergansers diving right off shore in the morning--lovely--
in the afternoon there was a cormorant on on of the few docks still in--I couldn't get too close but its neck and chest were very pale, in fact it seemed generally lighter than usual--except the area around its eyes seemed reddish--  so it was immature (?), but I couldn't see any other markings--.
the mallards are around fairly faithfully and four grackles checked out the feeder yesterday.
yesterday there was a beautiful mature bald eagle on a partially submerged tree near one of islands (a spot where I've seen eagles before).
Last night, I heard a few geese though as usual they were gone in the morning--also heard a barred owl--
a good weekend so far for birds on the pond--
