[Maine-birds] Northern Cardinal and Field Sparrow in Downeast - and - a Black-bellied Plover

We've seen new arrivals at our feeders everyday - and this morning we had a female Northern Cardinal - our first for the area.  We birded the Schoodic Unit of Acadia NP and saw a Field Sparrow on the Schoodic Head road - in boreal habitat!

We neglected to report that on April 16 we saw a Black-bellied Plover on the mud flats below our house.  We haven't seen any other plover since that day.
