A quick tour of the Great Pond Mountain Land Trust yesterday morning provided some interesting moments. Attached view of a common flicker sharing a foraging area with a savannah sparrow.
Also, I saw several eastern phoebes and heard a woodcock ( I think). I also embarrassed myself by photographing a piece of pealing tree bark that looked like a displaying ruffed grouse...if you can't laugh at yourself who can you laugh at?
