[Maine-birds] Blue Hill King Eider

Thanks to William Nichols who called me this morning to alert me to the King Eider! Ed Hawks, Jim Bright, and I went over this morning and easily found the bird (made all the more easy by the fact that Seth Benz was there with it in his scope). This was a beautiful male that we watched for nearly an hour. Alas, worked beckoned, so we did not have time to seek out the Stilt Sandpiper (at least Jim and Ed saw it on the Blue Hill Christmas Bird Count). I have posted photos on my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/TheNaturalHistoryCenter).
