[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights and Shorebird High Counts, 8/8-12

Just one non-shorebird of note from an abbreviated week:
 
And my shorebirds high counts over the past week were as follows (no Eastern Road Trail visit):
AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER: 1 ad (first of fall), Pine Point, Scarborough, 8/11 (with Jeannette).
Black-bellied Plover: 106, Pine Point, 8/11 (with Jeannette).
Semipalmated Plover: 400+, Pine Point, 8/11 (with Jeannette).
Killdeer: 1, Popham Beach State Park, Phippsburg, 8/10.
AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHER: 5, Pine Point, 8/11 (with Jeannette).
Greater Yellowlegs: 2, Wharton Point, Brunswick, 8/8 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
Lesser Yellowlegs: 10, Wharton Point, 8/8 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
"Eastern" Willet: 14, Pine Point, 8/11 (with Jeannette).
Spotted Sandpiper: 3, Reid State Park, 8/9.
Whimbrel: 4, Pine Point, 8/11 (with Jeannette).
Ruddy Turnstone: 10, Pine Point, 8/11 (with Jeannette).
Sanderling: 8, Popham Beach State Park, 8/10.
Semipalmated Sandpiper: 1800-2000 inc. handful of juveniles, Popham Beach State Park, 8/10.
Least Sandpiper: 10 juveniles, Popham Beach State Park, 8/10.
White-rumped Sandpiper: 6, Popham Beach
Short-billed Dowitcher: 62, including several juveniles, Pine Point, 8/11 (with Jeannette).
