I took a boat ride from Eastport, Maine through Head Harbor Passage, New Brunswick on Saturday during the incoming tide. Wispy fog made it difficult to see birds at a distance, but the gulls made plenty of noise to let you know where they were. Highlights included ~160 red-necked phalarope, 3 great shearwater, 1 Manx shearwater, 4 Atlantic puffins, 18 razorbill, a single Leach's storm-petrel, and lots of assorted gulls including good numbers of black-legged kittiwakes and Bonaparte's gulls.
