[Maine-birds] What time/causes migrants to leave?

Dear All

We had a noticeably cold night here in Buxton a couple of weeks back where we hit well below 50F.

Since then I've only heard one of the three local Red-eyed Vireos nor have I heard the Indigo Bunting. Certainly the Bunting is hard to mistake if you see it, but I haven't. Same goes for Prairie Warbler, Ovenbird and Hermit thrush who have all been silent. The woods have been very quiet since that night. Was has changed is that the Cedar Waxwings are suddenly everywhere.

Is this typical? Have they all left already? Or are they all busy with second brood and too busy (or exhausted!) to sing?

Curious since I don't recall this happening in past years.

Cheers
