Hi all,
I had a great morning in Scarborough Marsh today. Although shorebird numbers were low, as expected for the date, diversity was very good including several of the "regular rarities" at this season:
- 2 juv. LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS, Eastern Road Trail. Video of one of them here:
- 1 juv. Stilt Sandpiper, Eastern Road Trail.
- 1 fly-over American Golden-Plover, Eastern Rd Trail.
- 1 presumed-continuing juv. WESTERN SANDPIPER, Jones Creek/Pine Point co-op.
- 1 continuing juv. "Western" Willet, Jones Creek/Pine Point co-op.
Other highlights include "Patches" one of the TRICOLORED HERON X SNOWY EGRET HYBRIDS at Eastern Road, and single tardy Cliff and Bank Swallows at Pine Point.
